Welcome to my research website. I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. The focus of my current research is on the narrative policy framework (NPF), the utility of Cultural Theory in predicting the selection of particular public participation mechanisms by Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) planning staff, policy analysis, public transportation, family-friendly work practices, and the images of public administration in popular apocalyptic fiction.

In addition to my appointment in the Political Science Department I am a core faculty member in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program and affiliated faculty in both the Peace and Conflict Studies and Global Studies Graduate Programs. I am also proud to serve as the Vice-President of MassASPA and Associate Editor of the Policy Studies Journal.
